かわれないので
There are times where one would just want to sleep deeply for a real long time
It's not like he wouldn't wake up…

It's a selfish request, but before you see someone as selfish, please ask yourself if you're really that big hearted

The cosy 3-room flat
The small double-deck bed
The white electronic fan on the wall
The unfancy neighbourhood
The little neighbourhood school
The simple "mama shop"
The anime of the early 90's
The songs, the movies, the drama

The things touched
The people met

You are all treasured and missed

You won't be let go, just like the future will still be awaiting
But for now, let there be a breathing rest

Haha, yea.. I was following them for awhile back in, erh, 2003(?)
Then I kinda sidetracked from them… ^^; I still kept a little lookout for them and all, just not really following as closely as before..

By damn has 直次郎 grown a lot O.o|||
(and I miss the old layout they had for their official site D|)

Uhm… I guess they're sorta my guilty pleasure? XD;;;;;;; *dashes into cave to hide forever*

Yes! 林直次郎 has grown a lot! I like him, he's my favourite.

I'm not a big fan of them, is hard to find things about them. I like them because they sing '君の分まで' and it was the opening of a drama called Denchi ga kireru made.

Firstly.. uhm, the chunk of words at the top has got nothing to do with the video at all XD|||
Those are just the result of my angsting, which has been resolved by now >D

Then comes to the video…
It's the PV of 「かわれないので」 (Because It's Irreplaceable) by 平川地一丁目 (Hirakawachi Icchoume).

Hirakawachi Icchoume is composed of two brothers.
The elder being 林龍之介 (Hayashi Ryuunosuke) and the younger being 林直次郎 (Hayashi Naojirou).

This two brothers are very musically influenced by the 60's/70's Japanese folk music (very different from Western folk, btw XD"'). And they've always wanted to be able to compose and spread Japanese folk music themselves.

They made their debut in late 2003 with the song, "Tokyo".

I haven't been following them for some years already though.
So when I recently went checking on them, I got a little shock from how much they've transformed and developed. Even though I did expect things to be so, it still comes as a shock when their right in my face XD||||||

Although I don't have much problem with the recent works, I still prefer their older stuffs more.
Which is pretty weird, since I normally can't stand high-pitched vocals, like one would usually have to endure when listening to most Jpop stuffs >.>

Their older songs are more of a light-hearted feel tinted with nostalgia.
It's like, when I listen to their older works, an image of a kind Granny calmly sitting on a rocking chair, giving her little grandchild a small doting smile comes to mind.

Wherelse their newer works have a deeper, more solemn feel that makes one's heart feel heavier, yet not enough to go all bashing with angst. It's just this deep, draggy, heavy feeling　= =;

their japanese is very clear, I could nearly understand them [hahah]

Yea, I'm more or so better now. Darn stubborn cough still refuses to go away tho DX

I prefer Hirakawachi Icchoume's older stuffs though..
Which is kinda weird, since I normally prefer deeper vocals and all XD;;;

I lover the overall, uhm, feel(?) their older music gives me.
It's like..

有点酸、有点甜、有点苦、有点辣
可是在回想时，心境却还是淡淡的.. 淡淡的..

听他们的歌，我总觉得好像可以看到慈祥的老太太露出和蔼、宽容、溺爱的微笑
就算那小弟弟的音是在有够高的，他们的音乐却还是能让我觉得被老婆婆照顾着一样
感觉很好 =^-^=

BUT… Their recent works 却让我觉得好沉重！ |||||b
就是那种非常非常超龄的感觉！ ||||||||||||b
虽说他们本来就是走超龄民谣路线的.. 可是不是这种感觉！！！ X__X

他们现在的歌，有很多给我的感觉像一天到晚拼了命做工赚钱养家的爸爸
成天活在压力之下，回到家里，看到孩子的童真又觉得
“唉…拼死也值得吧…（劳累+无奈+溺爱地微笑）”

Feel 完全不同了 =口=;;;;

我也是....雖然輕快的聲線聽了很舒服, 但不知為什麼還是低 沈的嗓音最有共鳴啊~~總是覺得好像有種魔力般 @@

嗯嗯覺得有種溫馨的單純呢~~我間中也愛聽像サスケ - ベンチ 和Mr.Children 的某首不知名歌之類的 ^^ 像空氣般淡卻又帶著濃濃的人情味唷

可惜趕著考試暫時沒空聽新音樂了 ;_;
